Back to Normal

Well it's been awhile since I had time to myself. Family has been in town since MM&M and I had to be most hospitable.

I am catching up fast, (thank-goodness) and managed to send off some items in the mail today.

Wormie/Snail Girl is one of them. She was made for an altered article of clothing round robin I'm involved in with some Wonderful artists. This piece was designed for Sue and consists of hand painted sateen, Angelina film, glass baubles, micro beads, and glass beads. I think she looks quite at home amongst the beautiful beaded flowers done by Cherie and Jacque...

Cheers!!!

MM&M, was an absolute Blast!!!

I had a terrific time, met some fabulous people, reunited with a few folks, and loved sharing my techniques with fellow artists.

The ladies hustled right along and the pieces they produced were Amazing!!! I hope to have photos of the finished dolls soon---I look forward to sharing them with you.

Annie is the BEST host one could wish for. She is cordial, professional, hilarious, honest, and humble---LOVE that woman!!!

MM&M was a great teaching experience for me and I am so grateful to those who joined Barb and I for this conference.

I look forward to attending the next MM&M in September. Doll Artists Cyndi Mahlstadt and Cindee Moyer will be teaching this time and the class samples are BEAUTIFUL!!! I'm counting the days...................

Another Round Robin leaves

It's been a s-l-o-w week for me. I have been having way too much fun with my allergies, NOT!!!

I did manage to finish (finally) my contribution to Cherie's denim jacket. She's such a petite gal, there wasn't that much space to work with. So, I opted to make a collaged face pin. This way, she can stick it where ever she wants-LOL!!! No pun intended.

Jacque did the beautiful bead work, doily, and dye job. She started a Victorian theme and I went along for the ride...

I hope you're liking it so far Cherie.

WINDOWS

Girl Window
Gypsy Window

I just received word that once again, Angela Jarecki will be offering her "Windows" class on Doll Street.
I took this class nearly 5 years ago, (photos above) and it was filled with valuable information. Angela is a Brilliant artist and a Fantastic teacher. She was the first person to introduce me to using watercolor pencils on fabric and I've used them ever since. Thanks Angela.
If you're interested in taking this class check the link below over the next couple of weeks for details. You'll be glad you did!

PRINCESS ATC on eBay

Just finished this ATC and listed it on eBaY. I am involved in another ATC swap with an online group and I figured why not make an extra while I was at it-LOL!!!

This is an ATC I created using a variety of mixed media. There are collage papers, glass baubles, embossing powders, and the little face (fabric transfer)is a reproduction of an original "flat" fairy I made.

If you're interested click "AUCTION" and you'll be directed to eBaY.

Cheers!!!
